Vs. White Oak

Playing in front of their largest crowd of the season, the Pioneers played impressively over family weekend.  Missing players gave some of the younger students on the team a chance to step into a varsity role and contribute to a league win.  Sebastian Phillips built on his team lead in goals scoring his second hat trick of the season.  Phillips would also earn an assist when he passed the ball to forward Jesse Jacobs.  Jacobs poked the ball through defenders and passed the goalie.  Freddie Goodrich scored on a cross from Justin Itzkowitz.  Wrapping up the scoring was Jack Demeo.  Playing forward for the first time Demeo didn’t let the opportunity go to waste.  He blasted a ball into the top netting from close range on a great shot.  While the Eagle Hill offense was overwhelming the defense was  completely stymieing the White Oak attack.  Michael Sippl, Alexei Altenberg, and Andrew Schultz all played key defensive roles.  The final score of the game was Eagle Hill 6, White Oak 0.  This win clinched at least fifth place out of ten teams in the RVAL.  Eagle Hill now stood with a record of 5 wins and 3 losses in the league.
